In Unit 16, I have learned about conditionals, direct and reported speech

Course books and lesson materials in this unit in regards to course books teachers should attempt to use a mixture authentic and created materials to omit, replace, supplement and or adapt material in course books to keep the content both relevant and interesting, some of the reasons for this is to keep the class interesting as course books can often become predictable or it can dictate some subjects and prevent teacher from analytical approaches to certain subjects in turn preventing the lesson from being student centered

This was an intriguing unit

This unit focused on the productive skills which are speaking and writing

From this unit i learnt all about receptive skills, and the reasons why we would read and why we listen

This unit is divided in two parts

This unit was about evaluating students and the different kinds of evaluation that is expected to be used

Unit 17 covered the different equipment and teaching aids that can be used to help students more successfully learn English

This unit introduces the advantage and the disadvantages of the course books, I think to be a good teacher, we should not always only rely on the course book in the classroom, because the text book is sometime not fit the specific needs and interests of all the class members

When selecting a course book to use there are a number of factors to consider, such as level, price, availability and relevance

I would imagine that this unit is, for many students, the most important one, as it helps frame the act of teaching in the context of its dynamicism; a classroom never runs exactly as planned

This unit was dedicated to teachers and learners

Having the opportunity to teach business students is outstanding

The Future Simple Tense (future facts and certainties, promises, predictions - personal judgement, assumptions, spontaneous decisions - decisions made AT THE MOMENT of speaking and threats)

In this unit I learned about the Productive Skills I'll need for teaching, which include writing and speaking English

Phonetics has always been one of the most difficult things for me to teach

This unit covered some techniques for how to teach the different forms of language differently

Teaching pronunciation and phonology is very important and rather difficult aspect of the English language

This unit, to me, was a very challenging one, addressing the different ways of teaching students English, from grammar, to having them repeat over and over, to certain phases: Engage, Study, Activate, and what each one entails

I found this chapter very useful and with a lot of information

This chapter describes some equipment and teaching aids and their advantages and disadvantages

I think that the idea of getting the students warmed up first is a great idea finding something to get them interested in starting the day and it might give you a look at how the students perform and may give you a look at the students that are not quite at the same level as the others and this part also gives a general idea of how to set up and handle a large class and reminds you of previous unite about students wanting to use their native tong and how to avoid the problem and how to deal with students that are reluctant to talk and to deal with listening problems all of this will help me greatly with my first time teaching ability overseas with foreign students

This unit details all of the complexities embodied in the conditional forms and reported/direct speech

This unit varied from previous units as it was presented in video format

The wholeunit offers a wide panorama of the different tools we need to take into acccount to make lessons more interesting, especially when we talk about electric devices such as OHP, cassete recorders, CD, players, DVD, Videeo Cameras; but also the importance of how to use the simple board in the right way based on how we use spaces, how to write and the fact that we have to write just only the necessary information

Teaching the language to a student is a combination of methodologies that create a more fluent usage and control over the language that they are learning

This unit was focused on course books for the classroom and the materials a teacher may use

This unit covered lesson planning, supplying a justification for the practice of planning lessons, and a range of models for what a good lesson plan might look like, with sufficient depth to provide structure but nevertheless allow flexibility

There are different types of student?s evaluation and assessment what helps teachers to check if learners get enough grammar, if there is a balance of skills, if work is too easy, or too hard for them
