This was an intriguing unit. Book materials seems to be the get go of any young learner and young teacher. When I will become and ESL teacher, I will of course rely mostly on course books as I shall be an inexperienced teacher, thus, creating my own lessons will sure prove to be difficult. However, this unit made me feel and little bit more comfortable to tackle the matter of the preparation of one's own class activities and not focusing only on class books. Finally, and to be honest, I still have some problems in differentiating the patchwork and the boomerang ESA lessons. Hopefully, with more training and more experience, I will be able to master both techniques.
