In Unit 16, I have learned about conditionals, direct and reported speech. Conditional sentences use \"if\" for referring to past, present and future potential situations. Zero conditional refers to an action with probable result, whereas first conditional refers to an actual situation that has probable results if a certain action occurs. Second conditional refers to a hypothetical action or occurrence that probably will never happen, whereas the third conditional refers to applying an action to a hypothetical situation that could cause it to possibly happen. Indirect speech is used when reporting a message (either spoken or written) from one person to another.
