Teach English in Heihe Shi

Evaluation is now different from what it was some years ago

From this unit we understand that lessons taught in class may introduce a new grammer,vocabulary and functions

Almost every published course book has it's fans and it's detractors

The unit demonstrates many different methods that I could use when teaching and when those methods would be needed most

Pronunciation is a very interesting topic in the English language

This unit showed a real life example of the strategies we learned in past units to effectively teach a class

This unit is about evaluating and testing students

Tests are an important part of education with EFL classes as no exception

Most of this information seems like common sense, so I am not sure how helpful this unit is

This unit, the video unit, was extremely useful

Course materials can add value to a lesson or if over-used cause boredom

Speech Act Theory is fascinating

To my mind, managing classes is an essencial part as either it helps to make teaching/learning process go smoothly or turns it into chaos

This video show us that a good class depends on the teacher optimism and class preparation, the ESA method is very effective when you know how can you use it, specially when is about to motivate the students to participate and use their names, cultural details, when you know to use their skills of previous skills, the ice breaking is very important too and to make them to have trust, in the first video the teacher didn´t have trust in himself and in his students, to this reason they were afraid of participate, but in the second they were more optimistic, for this reason is very important to be prepared and have a good attitude towards students

The final unit of the course contained some worthwhile techniques for troubleshooting difficulties which may arise in teaching English

There are many ways in which the teacher can make the learning experience more interesting and fun for the students

The unit started with an overview of the different types of conditionals

I feel that teaching students to differentiate between the three types of phrasal verbs (the intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable) will be difficult as the particle added changes the meaning of the verb, making it difficult to differentiate

This unit provided an in class video example of ineffective and effective teaching methods

In this unit, receptive skills are explained

The phrasal verb portion of this section is incredibly poorly done

I believe one of the most important facets of teaching is the relationship between students and teachers, therefore establishing a rapport is essential to be an effective teacher

Teaching Vocab - More complicated than necessary

This unit teaches the fundamentals of teaching new language

Unit 17 talks about the wide variety of teaching aids used in the classroom

There are alot of tenses and the students have to understand them all

I learned so many different approaches and methods for teaching English, for example, the silent way, Audio-lingualism, the Lexical approach and so on

This unit provided a lot of helpful information about what lesson planning looks like using the Engage-Study-Activate format

This unit discusses and provides instruction on developing a course from inception to completion

In this unit I learned about all of the possible teaching aids that can be used in an English classroom and effective ways in which to use them
