Speech Act Theory is fascinating. I wasn't familiar with it until this module. I am quite curious to dive deeper into understanding the roles that each of the four levels plays in speech when teaching Second and Foreign language learners. Just as different languages have different sounds attributed to animals I am curious to know how the spur of the moment utterances of another language differ to those of English. The examples for lessons were great too, specifically the games. I know that will keep students engaged and they promise to deliver high student talk time which is key in getting students to use and understand the skills being presented.
