This unit showed a real life example of the strategies we learned in past units to effectively teach a class. One video showed the negative effects of ignoring all the lessons we have already learned. The second video showed the strategies we have learned in practice and how beneficial they are to help a student learn. I learned that following the ESA method along with keeping up enthusiasm, engaging the students through eye contact and gestures and being patient and clear can all help a student learn the lesson. I was exposed to different specific activities within the engage, study and activate phases and am excited to come up with my own ideas.
