Beginners come in many different forms and teachers have to be able to rise to the challenge of teachers these different groups

Unit 16 explored conditionals and reported speech

This unit covered parts of speech

The different resources available and how to make the best use of them to make the lessons more interesting and effective

Although the teacher cannot control the effects of what happens outside of the class re their students, they can have a major impact on what happens inside the classroom by way of motivating and teaching students

Unit Five covered the basics of lesson planning, including the benefits of lesson planning and the parts each lesson plan should include

Wow! This lesson was very dense and had a lot going on

Unit 19 is a unit on teaching special groups

For a class to be effective , the teacher should be able to inspire the self-assurance of the students

Unit 3 discusses some of the most common learning and teaching language methods and techniques

In conclusion, this unit is around teaching productive skills: speaking and writing

Conditional sentences contain a condition (if-clause) and a consequence (mail clause)

Teaching aids and equipment in the classroom are items which assist in teaching the lesson

I have learned a lot already through my twelve years of teaching English (when it comes to pronunciation) However there were a lot of new concepts here which will help add on to my experience and knowledge

A teachers first priority should be the learning of the students

After studying the readings from this unit, I have become more familiar with the various acronyms of important guidelines, tests and examinations for TEYL which were previously unknown to me! These include the Common European Framework (CEF) as a guideline which generally has five to six different levels to grade a students' language proficiency, Cambridge Young Learners of English (CYLE) examination which includes separate tests for speaking, reading/writing and listening, leading to higher exams like the Key English Test (KEY) and the Preliminary English Test (PET)

Engage, study and activate is a teaching method that works best for new teachers as they learn and apply it for their students

This unit went over the two productive skills of speaking and writing, which are both of equal importance when teaching English
