The School

Our training centre in Paris is perfectly situated in the very heart of the ‘city of lights’, only a short walk from the majestic Eiffel Tower. In the immediate vicinity of the centre you will find everything that Paris is known for including high end shopping, intimate cafés, elegant bars, stylish cabaret shows and world class restaurants. For those who prefer more tranquil activities, the centre is also within walking distance of many of the city’s most famous museums, art galleries and parks.

Our TEFL/TESOL training centre is based in a classical Parisian building that is well equipped with everything you will need to successfully complete your course in comfortable and professional surroundings. The building has Wi-Fi internet throughout and you will have access to modern printing and photocopying facilities when planning your lessons.

Our course trainers are all highly qualified and experienced in the field of English language teaching and are fully committed to ensuring that your stay with us is as productive and enjoyable as possible. Also, all our language students are genuine learners of English which provides the ideal preparation for your future role as an English language teacher.

Accommodation

Our training centre in Paris is well aware that finding comfortable, hassle-free accommodation is very important for our trainees. With this in mind, we suggest the following options:

Home Stay

We work with a professional hosting company to ensure you find a family that suits your preferences. You will have a furnished room in the center of the city with a shared kitchen and bathroom. This option comes with breakfast and starts from 760 Euros for the duration of the course.

Private Residence

Located less than a five-minute walk to the school you will find a variety of college-run, private apartments. They come with two single beds, a kitchen and bathroom. This option is priced at around 800 Euros per person for the month (double occupancy) or 1200 Euros (single occupancy), including all electricity, heating, insurance and Wi-Fi fees.

Student Housing

Student housing is completely self-sufficient and starts at 300 Euros for the month. This includes heating and water, a table and bed with linens, and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge and electric stove. Bathrooms are shared with this option.

Private Room

From around 850 Euros per month you can rent a private room in a Parisian apartment. This option includes shared kitchen and bathroom facilities and is often a popular choice with those who are planning to stay on in the city after the course.

Hostel Accommodation

Paris has countless hostels dotting the area around the school. This option typically includes a shared kitchen and bathroom, a television and many have internet or even Wi-Fi. A private bathroom is available in some locations. Prices for hostels start at around 22 Euros per night.

When choosing accommodation for your TEFL course in Paris you are obviously free to make your own arrangements, however, if you would prefer the help of a local expert, our housing coordinators are available to find you a perfect place to stay. The housing coordinator charges 135 Euros and guarantees to find you at least three valid options.

Accomodation Fees

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are my payment options?

    Course deposits must be paid to our administrative center. Credit/debit card payments are the fastest and cheapest way to pay, but we also accept payments via Western Union, Pay Pal and bank transfer. While there are no deadlines for a deposit, courses can fill up quickly and your seat will only be reserved after the deposit has been paid.

    Once you make your deposit, you will receive an email with an informational packet that provides detailed information about the course and Paris itself.

    You will also receive an invoice with payment instructions. It will be sent to you ahead of time, so you can comfortably go ahead and make your balance payment on time. If for any reason, your payment is received after the due date of five business days before the course starts, a late payment fee of 75 euro applies in addition to the tuition fee outlined in the invoice.

    Fees are all-inclusive so you won’t be asked to pay additional costs for course related materials or services. This also includes course moderation, accreditation fees and lifetime job assistance.

  • What travel documents will I need for paris?

    All visitors to France are required to carry a passport valid for at least six months after their arrival date. Citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa can obtain a 3-month (90-day) tourist visa upon arrival in France. All other trainees need to contact their nearest French consulate to clarify their French visa status.*

  • What is the course schedule?

    The course is a fairly intense, challenging and rewarding experience. Classes generally begin at 9:30 a.m. and run until 7:00 p.m. on days when teaching practice is scheduled, or around 5:00 p.m. when no teaching practice has been arranged. You will be provided with the exact schedule upon commencement of the course.

  • What can I expect during teaching practice?

    Our practice students are adults, mostly from the local area. They usually stay on from course to course and form good relationships with our trainees and staff.

  • Who usually attends the course?

    On average we have around 12 students for each program. They come from all over the world and are typically between 22 and 50 years old.

  • Is there a dress code?

    During trainees’ lessons, casual attire is allowed. During teaching practice, you will need to dress in trousers/skirts and closed-toe shoes. Men need collared shirts, while women need to wear conservative tops that cover their shoulders. Men also need to shave or keep facial hair neatly trimmed. No visible tattoos or facial piercings are allowed while teaching local students.

  • What should I bring for course studies?

    Please be sure to arrive on the first day of the course with a notebook and a pen. We also encourage you to bring a laptop as we have Wi-Fi at the training center. We will provide all course materials for you so there is no need to bring anything else for the course itself.
