Unit 4 is about present tenses and their usage. There are basically 3 forms of presente tense. Each of them gives us better understanding of different actions. Present Perfect tense let's us describe events that were performed in past and are not finished yet or have been finished not so long time ago. Present continuous tense let's us describe actions that are at the progress and not finished. And finally, Present simple tense express actions and events that are usual(routine) or permanent.While each lesson may have the same three stages Engage, Study and Activate there are many different methods that can be used at each stage. In addition it is possible to flip between the stages as the topic permits. I have taught for many years before and now it makes sense why several components or stages are needed in each lesson. I also noticed throughout the examples of the different stages how several popular television, board and card games are based off of language learning concepts.
