New vocabulary allows students to express their ideas and feelings with more detail. Many debaters whom I taught struggle to argue because of this impediment. When they mean \"excruciating\" and \"extenuating\", they are only able to say \"getting worse\". I believe there is very little difference in analytical depth among the best chinese students and their English-speaking counterparts. It is a small addition to the best among them to have a more colorful vocabulary, and methods which integrate ESA will ensure sophistication. Ideas are only as valuable as they can be understood. But, an idea being understood is only as important as it is a good idea. This module reinforced that for me.
