In unit five I learned a great deal regarding lesson planning. I did not realize that each phase of the lesson needs to be carefully positioned in sequence so that the lesson will first engage the learners, and then they will learn new skills and finally apply their skills through activities in which they use what they have learned. I also enjoyed the many lesson examples and templates because I can use them later in my own lessons.
