Parts of speech refers to purpose and meaning in a sentence, and gives information about the words in its contest. There are several parts of speech ex. Article, noun, verb, preposition... All of these are words classified by sertain rules. Nouns: A noun names people, animals, things... There are two types of nouns: 1) Countable nouns, ex. a car/car/cars. 2) Uncountable nouns, ex. music. Adjectives: Used to describe nouns such as people and things. While listing adjectives there are several rules. One general rule to follow is: size, age, color, material, noun. the adjectives are also seperated in comparasions(comparatives and superlatives). 1) comparatives = adjecive + er.. than 2) superlatives = adjective + est. Article: There are two types of article. Indefinit (a and an) and definit (the). Used to describe a specific member of a group og refering to any member of a group. Verbs. Words of "doing/action/stage"".
