This unit introduced a very complicated topic that I'm sure will be a challenge to teach. I believe conditionals are a challenge in every language, especially when I was learning Japanese, however the tense changes in English are particularly difficult to understand and hard to teach due to native speakers doing it unconsciously. I learned each form of conditional and how to explain, teach, and categorize them. I also learned how to break down reported speech and explain the transitions in language between the source sentence and the report.Creating a lesson plan for class is helpful for new teachers. It is important to keep in mind, however, that a lesson plan should not be a rigid teacher centered lesson, rather it should serve as a guideline for a productive lesson and it should allow for flexibility. A teacher should have set goal for each lesson plan. Goals should include: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date and time, and teacher and observers names.
