With two decades of experience in education, the program introduces trainees to a modern and effective approach to teaching English as a Foreign language through the Communicative Approach. Our program is fully accredited by the Mexican Department of Education making it valid worldwide. Accommodation

Finding a place to stay in Puerto Vallarta is not a difficult task. We recommend that our trainees find a housing option of their preference and budget through AirBnB. We can provide a series of recommendations and options based on the search parameters that you provide for our TEFL Advisors. Accommodation during the course can go for as long as $250 USD or as high as $800 depending on the amenities and features you opt for in your housing.

If you need accommodation, the staff in Puerto Vallarta ask for a budget and begin a search through AirBnB. They then present all viable options within your specified budget and give you the pros and cons of chosen location and venue. You decide which option accommodates you best and reserve directly through the AirBnB website.

  • What does the tuition for the program include?

    Your tuition includes a four-week 140 hour program. Two excursions are also included and are scheduled upon your arrival and are attended to as part of the group of trainees joining your course state date.

  • How do I pay for the course?

    Tuition is payable with any Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX credit or debit card. Tuition must be paid in full at latest 30 days prior to your arrival.

  • What is the daily schedule like?

    10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Input Session: During this time, the trainer provides the trainees with the theoretical component of the program by which the student will learn of the different teaching methodologies and English grammar form and use for delivery in the EFL classroom. This time includes a range of class activities, dynamics, and approaches which at times may include silent reading so that the trainee can formulate an opinion or critique for the next part of the activity based on the text they had read.

    2:00 to 4:00 PM Guided and Independent Lesson Planning During. During this time the trainee will be putting together the lesson plans that they will require to conduct their teaching practices as well as clarify any questions that they may have with the Lesson Planning Trainer. The LP Trainer is not always the same trainer that does the morning input session, we have other trainers that assist in this task.

    These two components bring our TEFL course to 120 hours. The remaining component is practicum which is composed of 10 Hours of Teaching Practices, 6 Hours of Observations, and 4 Hours of Written Assignments required to graduate.


  • How many students are there on average in the program?

    The average class size is 4 to 6 trainees per session. The maximum number of trainees per session is 8.


  • What are the teaching practices and students like?

    The teaching practices are conducted with local EFL students that come to our partner language academy to learn English. The ages of students vary but are predominantly between the ages of 16 and 40.

    We recommend that accommodation be sorted through AirBnB thus you have the option of choosing a venue that tailors precisely to your needs, preferences, and budget.

    English as a Foreign Language is in high demand in Mexico. Teaching positions are readily available throughout the country and during the entire year. There are peak hiring seasons at the beginning of the school year which is during the months of July and August.

    Salaries range greatly based on the candidates´ profile and background. A teacher just getting started in the field can expect to earn anywhere between $12,000 to $16,000 pesos per month. The figures rise as of that bracket depending on experience and performance.


  • Do schools provide accommodation for teachers?

    It is not common but there are some schools that provide their teachers with housing or housing assistance. Although, in most cases it is best to find a place on your own since you have full control over the features and conditions of the place you choose to stay in.
