I found the breakdown of how to present functions, grammar, and vocabulary very useful. Even though my experience with teaching English has been with individuals, a lot of the ESA phrases, like engaging with pictures for vocabulary, reviewing dialogues in the Study phase for grammar, vocabulary, OR function, unscrambling for grammar/word order, and how to weave that into a bigger-picture lesson. Individual lessons have very obvious differences from classroom lessons when it becomes clear that you and your learner can't engage in mime or use 3-dimensional realia, but as long as there are visual cues, a workaround is possible. If I were in a classroom, I would want to take advantage of being able to put students in groups, especially to practice vocabulary and functions. Depending on accessibility of projectors or printers or magazines, I would introduce weather and season vocabulary by having lower-level students find a picture of their favorite season or the month of their birth and have them Engage by sharing words about the seasons/weather, then play a recording of people describing their favorite weather/season, checking that the students understand the vocab and can say the words, then activate their knowledge by asking small groups of students to \"pitch\" their favorite weather for x number of minutes, then present that to the class and take a vote on the \"best\" season/weather.
