The last unit of this course discussed cultural issues to think about when teaching overseas, methods of obtaining employment, as well as numerous avenues available for professional development. The unit also stated the importance of thinking of questions to ask a potential employer. Additionally, there are many websites dedicated to postings of TEFL positions, or alternatively you can post your resume online to try finding work. Finally, the unit offered some practical advice on what to include in a resume and covering letter, such as relevant work and academic history and personal interests, and it also detailed a number of courses and business examinations for teachers who want to pursue further professional development.
