For this unit we have gone a bit more in depth with not just the types of roles a teacher has and the types of students one can encounter in their classes, but also the different types of teaching and learning methodologies one can use as both a teacher and a student. A bit different than teaching for a general group of learners, teaching Business English students have advantages and disadvantages that a teacher must learn to prepare for. Some examples can include that while there may be more motivation and concentration in learning English, many students may have erratic schedules due to their work schedules and may be more tired and unwilling to put in extra time if their lessons are required but held outside of work hours. I've actually found the sections dedicated to the types of Learners you can encounter in teaching a Business English class interesting because a lot of the information given sheds light on the differences from teaching general English to a class that might have younger learners. For example, many times if you are teaching a group in their workplace, they may be called away to attend a meeting, presentation, etc. and therefor as a teacher you must be able to adapt your lesson around that. Another example is that your class may actually be more of a private one-to-one lesson, and again you as a teacher must be able to adapt your lesson to fit, depending on the student, their interest, energy put into the lesson, etc.
