By watching the two videos in unit 10 I learned how a teacher in different ways can affect the learning process of a class to be little or very effective. The teacher can use different attitude, teaching methods and other factors like body language, facial expressions and use of names of the students, that will have a major impact on the participation, comprehension, rapport and confidence of the class. The first video showed me a teacher who did many mistakes throughout the lesson that made the students confused - he had a frown upon his face, expected the students to understand better just by repeating the same word many times and lowered the students confidence by saying that the subject was easy for anyone. He also did not show any examples, enthusiasm(he read a book while the students was doing working sheets) or willingness to know the students (he didn't know their names) among many other mistakes. The atmosphere in the classroom seemed to be tensed and the students confused. The second video showed me how the teacher could make the same lesson much more effective and change the whole atmosphere in the classroom to the better by being more excited, using ways to explain that was more fitted to the level of the students, smiling an using miming and body language, and avoided to do the mistakes shown in the first video. The relationship between the students and the teacher seemed to be a lot better, the participation was higher and the lesson was filled with joy and learning.
