This unit looks at different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress, as well as some of the common external exams that a teacher may need to prepare students to take. There are three ways to assess a student's language level: tutorials, evaluation by the students, and tests. There are four tests that can measure a student's learning level: Placement tests, Progress tests, Diagnostic tests, and Practice tests. The unit also discussed the various external tests that offered for English proficiency. I didn't understand the difference between the TOEFL and the TOEIC until this unit, so that was very helpful.
