I almost always exclusively create my own materials. This is VERY exhausting, and I do need to incorporate coursebooks into my lesson plans. I consistently use relatable, authentic material as my interests often overlap with the kids I teach, and I can be quite enthused about these topics. The role playing exercise did indeed pique my interest, and with role playing games making a comeback, maybe it's time I incorporate some of this into my lesson plans.
