At the school where I am planning to teach after completing this training, one of the things we are grappling most with is which materials are right for our program. We have a population of students that needs grammar practice but is more interested in conversation. How do we put together the right combination of materials in order to motivate them to embrace a healthy mix of skills, while keeping the focus on what they would like to cover. I think the discussion on the use of course books is a very relevant one, and I plan to use some of this thinking, as we take the discussion forward.
