Throughout this unit I have learned different methods to engage a class, based upon perceived language levels of the students. I have also learned that the use of seemingly childish games can be extremely useful in helping student?s obtain a better understanding of spelling and grammar. The ESA model has also shown me an efficient way to construct a lesson plan in order to keep students engaged and excited about learning a new language. I noted that whilst I was in the process of learning a new language my own teacher used many of these methods. Thus I have had firsthand experience seeing many of the different methods featured in this unit in real world use.
