This unit provided two different examples of teaching, and how they effect the students. The first example was rather hard to watch, as I knew the teacher was making intentional mistakes. He was not explaining himself very well, and his repetition of how easy it was made the students very intimidated. The silence in the room made it clear that the students were not engaged. The second lesson was much better, as the teacher was active and engaged and worked with his students to help them understand and grow in their language knowledge. This unit makes it clear that the attitude and preparation of the teacher are vital in student participation and comprehension.
