Unit 6: Teaching receptive skill is an interesting lesson for me. I have learned a lot as a teacher. The receptive skills are reading and listening while the productive skills are the speaking and writing. Reading and Listening takes place because it helps us achieve a particular aim or goal.I also learned that the topic or the text dialogue can motivate the students. As a teacher, I need to choose my topics wisely and the tasks that go with them. Knowing the students learning needs is very vital in the preparation of the lesson. Getting to know my students will assist me to select suitable materials that will encourage and motivate them students to study very well.
