Something new I learned in unit 18 was the different types of phrasal. I know that I have probably used this concept throughout my life, I just had not known the term. Another term that was new but the material was not is modal auxiliary verbs. I have been using auxiliary verbs throughout my life and now know the term used to explain them. I have learned about independent and dependent clause but was introduced to relative clauses in this unit. Relative clauses was an interesting topic to learn about because it is meant to give more detail on the noun. I also enjoyed learning about passive since draws away the attention from the noun and moves it towards the subject.
