It was interesting to learn about the different roles that a teacher can take on. I never thought about seeing it from the point of view that a teacher has many roles other than teaching and grading or assessing student work, but that may be because of the academic experience I was more familiar with. I found it helpful to learn about the various factors that make a good learner and how the factors also affect motivation to learn because I have experience with teaching adults English, but I want to teach younger learners abroad in the future. I did not realize there are many differences in the way different age learners may be motivated or in the methods of learning.
