While studying this unit, I found it interesting to note that much of the information presented here I have experienced in my own classrooms, as an educator and as a student. From the roles of the teacher, to the advantages and disadvantages of one-on-one lessons, to the different teaching methodologies. While I do agree that ESA is currently the best method for English learning for non-native speakers, such methods are not often employed in the ESL classrooms I have been witness to. Perhaps it is a result of required planning or difficulty in execution, or some other external factor, but I hope that I can use the information I learn to great effect in my classrooms.
