being a good teacher as well as a good learner. I specifically learned about the different roles that a teacher could adopt in the classroom including less traditional roles such as that of an observer and even participant. Recently there has been a focus on learning-centered or student-centered education rather than teaching centered education. I feel that this helps motivate kids to really take control of their own learning. Another thing that struck me in this unit was the qualities listed for being a good teacher. As someone who has just joined this profession, I try my best to get to know tmy students and this is a very important part of my approach to teaching.
