This unit takes a lot of time to fully understand. As a native English speaker I believe we do not really think of how we pronounce words. This unit has given me a much better understanding of how to teach students the correct way to pronounce words and also how to voice a sentence in order to get the full meaning across in a way that will sound more natural to a native English speaker. I hope from studying this unit that it gives me more confidence and resources to effectively teach pronunciation and phonology. I know that from a personal point of view that knowing how to pronounce a word correctly gave me the confidence to speak the other language more fluently.
