This unit deals with issues related to pronunciation and teaching pronunciation. I learned nothing from it. A lot of information was devoted to and possibly useful for speech therapists and cosmetic surgeons. Phonology has possible uses for decifering a dictionary for pronunciation in a void, but this century has verbal pronunciation provided at the click of a button so it is pointless and a total waist of time to learn yet another foreign language to help pronounce a foreign language. I found nothing useful in this unit. Ive seen pronunciation classes with books filled with pictures and descriptions of tongues and teeth and lips and these are useless classes too.
