There are many qualities that make good teachers and students. Some qualities of a good teacher are kindness, patience, a love for teaching and an ability to motivate students. Good students will have a desire to learn the language, listen to the language, ask questions and have a willingness to experiment with the language. Teachers have many roles within the classroom including, Manager, Organizer, Assessor, Observer, Prompter and Facilitator. Different roles should be applied to appropriate activities. It is important to be sensitive to students situations and background. This includes their age and culture as well as their level of understanding of English.
