In this unit I have learned the importance of receptive skills and how reading and listing work in general. I now know that there are two main categories for reading and listing that we can use, the first is for entertainment and the other is for a specific purpose. I also know now that there are different ways of reading and listing. A few examples of these methods are Skimming; this is when we briefly read through a manual to get the general understanding of the content. Another example is scanning; this is when we read through a news paper and basically scanning through it to the part that we are interested in such as the match result of your favorite football team.
