Modal verbs appear to have very complicated rules and are unique to the english language. Having an understanding now from this module gives me more confidence teaching these particular grammar rules. Understanding how each sentence is formed and why it is formed that way is key to the strategy of teaching to students.From this unit, I have learnt the importance of phonics and phonic symbols, however, it is not necessary to teach individuals symbols. I have learnt the intonation patterns which are used in English and what it means when the tone falls and rises - I am confidence that I will be able to teach this to other individuals.
