I have spoken english my entire life and do not recall covering the phonetic alphabet in school. I never even considered how things sound and are written are completely different to the extent outlined in this module. This was hard to comprehend and I can see how speakers of other languages would struggle to learn this.This unit discussed direct and indirect quotes. It was pretty confusing to follow, and I hope that English textbooks explain it with less jargon than was used in this unit. I could follow a bit because I have studied it in primary school, but it was difficult. Some of the activities looked good to use in class, however.
