This unit taught me both the process of creating lesson plans for my future classes and the importance of why it should be done. The unit particularly focused on the information that should be included in the lesson plan, such as the learner objectives and personal aims as well as the point by point plan of activities and procedures for the lesson including the intended phase and approximate time o allocation each one. The unit also taught me the importance of organisation and gave a useful rundown of practical tips I can prepare myself and classroom with to help ensure my lesson goes more smoothly things such as checking equipment is functioning properly to being ready to engage and chat with the students as they enter the class to create a positive atmosphere. In addition I personally learnt much from the concept of identifying potential problems the students and teacher may confront during the lesson and including them in the lesson plan itself. Pre-empting such problems and noting down ways these problems may be overcome again helps the teachers lesson progress in a more orderly manner both to the benefit of the teacher and students.
