I learned so much from these two videos. There were such big differences seen in the classroom atmosphere and student level of participation with just a few changes from the teacher. I firmly believe that teacher attitude has a big effect on the success of a lesson and also fuels student motivation. If you are excited to be there--chances are that so will your students. It was great to see all the laughter and the level of engagement increase in the second lesson. The teacher allowed for plenty of pair work for students to collaborate. For the students' ability level I thought this was very appropriate. Moreover, the activate activity was pretty creative and with more time the students could have really stretched their imaginations. This was a wonderful way to see the differences in our teaching manners.
