This unit covers the future tenses: how each tense is grammatically formed, in what situations each tense is used, example sentences of both correct usage and incorrect usage, and activity ideas for teaching each tense. I now have a much better understanding of what situations each future tense is appropriately used in, and I learned that even though some of them can be interchangeable in certain situations, there are different implications in meaning. For example, the future simple and \"going to\" future can both be used for predictions; however, the future simple is used for predictions that aren't based on present evident, and the \"going to\" future is based on evidence. So depending on the situation being discussed, a certain future tense might actually be more appropriate to use than other future tenses.
