The use of case studies provides for a whole range of language learning opportunities for your students. The range of contexts and styles are such that you will find material which can not only be used to give your students practice with what you have already taught, but also to introduce them to a new vocabulary and language structures. Having chosen your case study you should think about how you are gong to use it in the classroom. First you have to introduce and give a background, pre-teach the language; set up the mechanics of the activity; demonstrate the process of the activity; give students framework to use; let them do it; give a feedback; debrief and correct.
