Unit 1 focuses on the various aspects of students and teachers. It covers the desired positive qualities of students and teachers alike. The roles and responsibilities of the teacher and the potential levels of the students as English language learners. As a qualified teacher, much of this unit felt like common sense. However, I was able to draw two things from this section. First, I have learnt the levels of English language learners such as beginner to intermediate, or the common European framework. Second I am now aware of what makes a good learner specifically in regards to language learners. For example, a willingness to listen to and experiment with the language.
