Unit 5 discusses the management of the classroom as a teacher of English relative to teaching English to foreigners to include organizing and managing the class, having a friendly, relaxed manner and maintaining discipline. Accordingly, classroom management includes good eye contact to establishing a good rapport with students, to hold the attention of students who are not being addressed, and to maintain discipline and to check that that everybody is participating. Classroom management also included the teacher?s voice which should change naturally according to circumstances, the seating arrangement, giving instructions, and preventing problems in the classroom.
