While this section does troubleshoot some of the most common TEFL problems, it deals mainly with problems in the classroom. However, I've found that one major factor of a teacher's success is his or her rapport not just with the students, but also with the school or training center. Especially when working across cultures, it is even more necessary for the teacher to be pro-active about communicating with his or her supervisors. Asking for coaching and honest feedback will show that the teacher is responsible and open to the school's ideas. Too many times, good teachers find themselves in disputes with their employers, and it is always the students who suffer in the end.
