What I feel I have learnt from this unit is that I have never previously stopped to think of why I use my chosen words in the way I use them. For me it is natural due to English being my first language. Learning how to teach why we use the words we do, shows how different parts of speech can be difficult for students to learn if English is their second language. I do believe that any teacher should study this topic in more detail in order to be able to relate to any of their students. What comes natural for me as the teacher is potentially complicated for my students so I need to build a good knowledge in order to be able to relate to each student and their learning level.
