I learned much about instruction and space management in the classroom. Learning the microfactors involved in teaching is very insightful. So many subtle factors add up to a completely different experience- for better or for worse. In one semester of taking French I had a professor who taught in the circle formation and it was indeed a more engaging, intimate way of learning. The giving instructions section is incredibly helpful and fortunately simple. I really liked how solutions to preventing problem behavior starts with the teacher's example. It takes responsibility in thinking about what I could do better so that the student may hopefully in turn become more respectful.
