In this unit, many linguistic themes are covered, and I learned a lot about pronunciation and phonology in the English language. These topics are important for the teacher to understand so he/she can explain to the students how certain sounds should be pronounced. Using different techniques as well can benefit students and help them understand better how they themselves can achieve these sounds. For example, when teaching pronunciation, it may be beneficial to show them mouth diagrams, along with modeling with your own mouth. Also, tongue twisters can be a fun way students can challenge themselves and really focus on finite differences in pronunciation with the same letter.
