While the overall content of the lesson was a review of a topic we've learned about before, the way it expanded upon that information made it invaluable. The best part of the lesson, for me, was actually the task sheet. Actually creating a basic lesson outline set to these ESA structures made it easier to understand and imagine happening in my current classes. I really had to think about what I wanted to do in each stage, and how each stage should differ from the others. It was also easier to understand how the patchwork, while more difficult to plan than straight-arrow, could work well, especially with older, more experienced students where independent-learning is crucial.
