This Unit is dedicated to the use of coursebooks and materials of two types for teaching EFL students. The reader learns the difference between authentic and created materials, what constitutes a coursebook set, advantages and disadvantages of coursebooks, tips how to make the best use of a coursebook and how to analyze coursebooks to make the best choice for a particular class. This Unit has taught me that a teacher should take more intelligent freedom with coursebooks to adjust them to the needs and interests of the students. I have also learnt a number of useful Internet sources which I am planning to apply in my teaching practice.
