This unit contains information that is targetted towards troubleshooting a variety of problems which may be encountered when teaching English as a foreign language. I learned basic principles used for conducting first lessons in English, the difference between existing groups and new ones, a number of activities for first lessons. I learned about the use of warmers with an example of some activities which can be used for this purpose. I also learned how to deal with a group of students at different levels, teaching large classes, the use of the native language, how to deal with reluctant students and difficulties with listening texts.
