Having a good grasp of the present simple tense makes understanding this unit very easy I should say. Because it follows the same concept. just that this is the past form. I have also learnt a lot from this unit particularly about the past perfect continuous and its uses and the other forms of past tense. I have also learnt a lot about the mistakes that we make in constructing sentences like the past perfect and past perfect continuous form of past tense. I personally sometimes make mistakes when trying to form construct such sentences so I think this unit have been of great help in adding more to what I already knew about past tense.
