The tense system is one that causes much confusion and difficulty and I can now easily understand why. In this unit, I learned about the present tense and the following four aspects; present simple (e.g. \"I go\"), present continuous, also known as present progressive (\"I am going\"), present perfect (\"I have gone\") and present perfect continuous (\"I have been going\"). Essentially, the present tense not only describes something currently happening or existing, but can also be used to describe past and future events. It was interesting to learn about common mistakes/errors that students make and what correction strategies to apply.
