I've been worrying about lesson planning, and this unit made me feel a lot better; I learned a lot. The ESA method has been discussed in a number of other units, but this unit actually showed its implementation. The example lesson plans are extremely helpful, and gave me a real world idea of what an actual, affective lesson plan should look like. There's also a lot of good information about creating a balance between following a script lesson plan and being open to change. A teacher shouldn't be a rigid script, but should instead have an outline of what, and how, they want themselves and their students to accomplish during a given day.
